Patron Appreciation Day
Join us at the South Whatcom Library for our annual Patron Appreciation Day sweet potluck! Bring a baked treat to contribute or just enjoy the hot cider and goodies outside of the library; we would love to see you.

Volunteer Book Sorting
The Friends of South Whatcom Library (FoSWL) booksale subcommittee is looking for volunteers willing to meet for two hours (3 - 5 PM) on the 1st Wednesday of the month in the conference room of the South Whatcom Library to:
- sort through and pack donated books for use in our book sales
- deliver books we can't use to one of the non-profits in town
- identify books to be placed on special sales
- restock the two in-library book carts

Giving Tuesday
It’s Giving Tuesday! Join in the worldwide movement with the goal of strengthening communities through your financial support. FoSWL Board Meeting
The Friends plan activities that support the library, and South Whatcom has a fantastic group of Friends! Guests are always welcome.
The Board meets monthly on the third Monday in the South Whatcom Library meeting room (10 Barnview Court). Please note that the library is closed on Mondays, and only the meeting space will be available.

Series: Tweens Learn to Paint
Join us at the South Whatcom Library for a watercolor painting course taught by local artist Annika Sheck. Each session will build upon the last as attendees learn the fundamentals and work on their projects. Bring your eagerness for creative expression — everything else will be provided! This program is for young people ages 9-14. Update: registration is full but you can be added to the waitlist!

Daffy Day
Join the Friends of the South Whatcom Library and the Sudden Valley Garden Club at the library on October 18th between 11:00am and 2:00pm and enjoy hot apple cider and an autumn doughnut on us while you pick up a bag of daffodil bulbs to plant in your yard or deck planter for lovely spring blooms!
FoSWL Annual Meeting and September Board Meeting
Join the Friends of the South Whatcom Library for our Annual Meeting. This meeting is open to all members and the general public. There will be a general report shared with membership on our annual activities as well as an annual financial report. Refreshments will be served. Results from the Board of Directors election will be announced. This meeting will be immediately followed by our September monthly BOD directors meeting (including the newly elected BOD).
Summer Reading Celebration & Kids Craft Fair
