What We Do

Our mission as the Friends of the South Whatcom Library is to enhance library services through support and advocacy, raising awareness of the library’s value in our community.

The South Whatcom Library is nestled inside Gate 2 of Sudden Valley and proudly serves the communities of Geneva, Glenhaven, and Sudden Valley. If you're 16 or older and call one of these communities home, you’re warmly invited to become a Friend of the South Whatcom Library—joining a group of neighbors who care deeply about supporting and celebrating this vital community resource.

“Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life.”

— Sidney Sheldon
